Boys donate money to Make-A-Wish Foundation

A great story about generosity in the Heart of the Valley.

Oakley, Henley, and Campbell Baron of Huntsville have been saving spare change for 2 and a half years, since before Campbell was born.

They were saving up to pay for a family trip to Disney World.

Their great-grandmother ended up paying for the trip, so the boys asked to donate their change to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

They took the coins to Redstone Federal Credit Union this morning for sorting and counting.

The grand total came up to just under $800.

"Oh yeah, really proud of 'em. It didn't really hit me until a few days ago, the magnitude of what they had done and how much money we had really saved when they were sorting in on my dining room table," says Amity Baron.

Make-A-Wish pays for trips for critically ill children and their families.

The boy's parents are matching their donation, and so are their grandparents.
