Store clerks busted for selling alcohol to minors

Fort Payne investigators continue to crack down on clerks who provide booze to youngsters.

Dany Escabar Munoz, 20, of Fort Payne was arrested on charges that he allegedly sold or provided alcoholic beverages to an underage person.

On June 7, Fort Payne Investigators assisted the ABC Board Investigators in running checks on nineteen licensed establishments to determine if the stores were checking identification and if they would sell or provide alcoholic beverages to underage people.

Clerks at five different establishments sold or provided alcoholic beverages to an underage person during the checks.

This arrest is a result of that investigation.

Munoz was working at Mi Casita Restaurant located at 3800 Gault Av. N.

This is the second employee at Mi Casita charged in the last couple of months.

Four other arrests are expected this week.  An employee at Baty's Beverages, Five Points Quick Mart, Santa Fe Steak House, and The County Seat Restaurant also violated the law.
