V-22 Osprey military aircraft expected to land in Huntsville

The U. S. Marine Corps V-22 Osprey will land at 1:00 p.m. today at the Old Gold Meadow location, west of the Von Braun Center's North Hall on Clinton Street.

The tiltrotor aircraft takes off and lands like a helicopter.

Once airborne, its engine nacelles can be rotated to convert the aircraft to a turboprop airplane capable of high-speed, high-altitude flight.

Sponsored by Defense Test Resource Management Center (DTRMC) in cooperation with International Test & Evaluation Association (ITEA) leaders from all services will attend this 9th Annual Test Week, bringing their perspectives about the Joint Warfighter.

The Von Braun Center's exhibition hall will be full of hardware from all services, industry, and academia, demonstrating support to the Joint Warfighter.
