The Febuary 17th fire was a crushing blow to downtown Decatur.

It meant closing a few businesses at a time when the area was struggling with a comeback.

But just like the legendary Phoenix rising from the ashes, downtown Decatur is back.

Decatur Burea Chief Bobby Shuttleworth talked with the owners of The Brick restaurant.

Bobby asked, "Did you expect everything to bounce back the way it did?

Owner Tina Hall giggled no while shaking her head.  Her partner, Lisa Champlin adds, "We knew we had some loyal customers, but we had no idea."

While pool players try not to scratch, the eatery is packed.

Around the corner the Willis Gray Gallery and Albany Framing are also in the midst of a comeback which is "picture perfect."

One of the propieters Judy Seymour says, "We're back, we're going and we're ready for other people to come on back."
