Convicted of voluntary manslaughter in the shooting death of Matthew Winkler, his wife of 10 years, Mary Winkler, prepares to hear her punishment.
A judge will sentence Mary Winkler for the death of her husband Friday, but that is not stopping her lawyers from seeking a new trial.
A jury convicted Winkler of voluntary manslaughter back in April. She shot and killed her husband, Matthew, in their home in Tennessee last year.
Mary faces up to six years in prison for that conviction.
At Friday's sentencing hearing, her lawyers plan to ask for a new trial.
