New owner of Crestwood to offer full endorsement and financial support for Madison development

Crestwood Medical Center's new owners say they will support the hospital's bid to build a new facility in Madison.

The announcement comes a day after Crestwood CEO Brad Jones announced he was leaving.

Jones was the driving force behind Crestwood's campaign to build a 60-bed hospital in Madison.

Even though Jones is taking a job with a Health Management Company in Florida, Crestwood Officials say they will continue fighting for the new facility.

Lori Light, a spokesperson for Crestwood, told us, "Brad has been instrumental in the growth, the fiscal growth, the employee morale and job satisfaction, patient satisfaction here at Crestwood and he has pushed that on (on top of) bringing a hospital to Madison and that (it's development will not stop with his departure."

Community Health Systems of Tennessee is in the process of buying Crestwood.

Company officials say they have given the project their full endorsement and financial support.
