Valley mom wants to know who killed her son

Who killed Jerry Wayne Gibson?

A Valley mother is desperately searching for the answer to that murder mystery.

The 38-year-old father of three died from multiple gun shot wounds.

His body was found a half-mile off Jackson County Road 19 in Section on July 28th, 2005.

"Like a nightmare, like you want to wake up," Patricia Baugh, Gibson's mother, said.

A year and a half later, Gibson's mother says the pain is no different.

"I miss them phone calls. I miss seeing him drive up the drive. I miss the holidays without him. It's just like there's a part of me gone," Baugh said.

Baugh says it makes it more difficult knowing her son's killer is running free.

She's printed and posted flyers, but investigators say leads are few and far between.

They say the case is now cold, but Gibson's mom says she's not giving up.

She's turning to the public for help.

"There's gotta be something they can do, and I'm not going to quit until they do. I'm not going to give up. I'm not going to go away," Baugh said.

If you have any information on this case, you're asked to call the Jackson County Sheriff's Office at 256-574-2610.

There is a $10,000 reward for information leading to Gibson's killer.
