Redstone Hosts 11th Annual Oktoberfest

What: Oktoberfest 2006 - the annual four-day festival hosted by Redstone Arsenal Morale, Welfare, and Recreation -- kicks off Thursday at 5 p.m. with the tapping of the official Oktoberfest keg at 6 p.m. The event will feature German food and beverages provided by the


, a German restaurant located on Redstone, free live entertainment featuring Terry Cavanagh and the Alpine Express as well as local favorite ‘4-Door Rambler', carnival rides, arts and crafts fair, and an antique tool show. For family members who don't think they will enjoy authentic German food, there will be hamburgers, hot dogs, drinks and other kid-friendly foods available.

** Please arrive at Gate 10, Patton Road, no later than 5:00 p.m. Access through the gate may take 15-20 minutes for identification, inspections and security checks to be completed.  Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Registration and proof of vehicle insurance are required for access to Redstone Arsenal.
