Beth Chapman was born in Greenville. After high school, attended and graduated from the University of Montevallo.
Following college, Chapman worked as the Director of Special Events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. She eventually became the state Executive Director.
Chapman went back to school full time and received a graduate degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
She then served on the cabinet for former Governor Fob James. She also served as the first female Governor's Appointments Secretary.
Chapman owns her own company and has worked on Rudolph Guiliani's campaign, along with volunteering for many state Republican candidates. Her company also works with many nonprofit children's charities.
Chapman has served as State Auditor and has been named to the Shelby County Planning and Zoning Board. Chapman is married with two children.
