John Tyson, Jr.

John Tyson, Jr. is a graduate of Murphy High School. He graduated from the University of South Alabama and graduated law school from the University of Alabama.

Tyson served 14 years on the Alabama State Board of Education.

He was appointed as Mobile County District Attorney in 1994 and has served as DA since that time.

Tyson has served on several education boards and task forces. Tyson's civic services include chairman of Secret Safe Place For Newborns, Inc, the Boys and Girls Club, the Children's Advocacy Center, and Penelope House.

He has also served as an adjunct assistant professor at USA .

Tyson is married with two children.
