Jim Folsom, Jr.

Jim Folsom, Jr. is the son of former Alabama Governor Jim Folsom.

He grew up in Montgomery and Cullman.

Folsom graduated from Jacksonville State University.

Folsom was elected to the Public Service Commission in 1978.

He was also elected Lieutenant Governor in 1986 and 1990.

In 1993, he was sworn in as Governor following Governor Hunt's removal from office. Hunt was convicted of a state ethics violation.

Folsom and his wife Marsha have two children.
