Loretta Nall was born in Talladega, but lataer moved to Ashland in Clay County.
She and her husband of 15 years lived in Germany in the early 1990's before getting stationed at Fort Bliss in El Paso. When her husband's toured ended, they moved back to Alabama.
Nall is probably most recognized for her fight for changes in drug policies. She has organized 35 state chapters of the US Marijuana Party.
But that's not where Nall's concerns end. Her platform includes changes in Alabama's education system and tax reform.
Nall plans to walk across Alabama during her campaign to meet with voters.
She and her husband Terry have two children.
