Don Siegelman served as Alabama 's Governor from 1999-2002.
He was born in Mobile and graduated from the University of Alabama and Georgetown University School of Law.
Siegelman also studied international law at Oxford University in England.
Before serving as Governor, Siegelman served as Lieutenant Governor, state Attorney General, and Secretary of State.
The former Governor is currently on trial, accused of racketeering, bribery, and extortion. He was indicted in December. The trial is slated to begin May 1st.
Siegelman and his wife Lori have two children.
