A family pleads for help in finding their loved one's killer.

Jerry Wayne Gibson was shot to death eight months ago.

"He said I've got some bad news. Your son was murdered over in Jackson County. They found him about a half-mile out in a field," says Patricia Baugh, Jerry Wayne Gibson's mother.

"I done went to bed. I got a phone call. Momma was crying. So I knew something was pretty rough," says Billy Gibson.

A father of three, Jerry Wayne Gibson's body was found just off Jackson County Road 19 in Section in July of last year.

"It's rough. I thought I was just going to die then," says Billy Gibson.

Investigators say Jerry died from multiple gun shot wounds.

Jerry's mother, Patricia Baugh, says life hasn't been the same since.

"There's a part of me that will never be there again. It's like a part of me died," says Baugh.

Jerry's younger brother, Billy, says life has forever changed for him.

He and Jerry used to go fishing together all the time.

Billy says he hasn't been since.

"He was half of me. Since he's been gone, half of me's been gone," says Billy Gibson.

Jerry's family says it's an empty spot that may never be filled. A sense of emptiness made worse since Jerry's killer is still on the loose.

"Makes it harder to sleep just knowing that there's somebody out there," says Billy Gibson.

"I just want somebody to help find who done this," says Baugh.

If you have any information on who killed Jerry Wayne Gibson, please call the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at 256-574-2610.

There is a $10,000 reward.
