HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - As one business gets ready to open, another is closing.
The Verizon Call Center in Huntsville is closing its doors this Friday, for good.
We told you back in February that the company announced they would be transitioning their Huntsville customer call center to a "home-based agent" model.
We're told employees who weren't eligible for the transition were offered the opportunity to relocate or given the option of accepting a severance package.
Verizon says the decision was based on positive feedback they received from employees already in the home-based agent program.
