CONWAY, AR (KARK/CNN) – An Arkansas mother is distraught after the teenagers babysitting her 1-year-old daughter allegedly slapped and tormented the girl with a Taser.

Police in Conway, AR, arrested three female teenagers after a Snapchat video surfaced Monday that appears to show one of them pretending to poke her 1-year-old babysitting charge with a Taser.

The child can be seen screaming and stretching her arms out for help.

In another video, a teenager can be seen doing the toddler’s hair then slapping her in the back of the head.

Both videos are followed by laughter and covered with laughing emoji.

Mother Elyssia Watkins is still trying to comprehend what happened to her 1-year-old.

"I couldn't even stay at work today. I just keep thinking about it,” Watkins said. "Why do they think it's a laughing matter?"

Watkins learned about the alleged abuse after a friend showed her the video. She showed up outside the Faulkner County Courthouse for a hearing in the case Tuesday.

"They do need to go to jail, but I hope someone really talks to them and they get some counseling,” Watkins said.

The baby was examined at the hospital, according to police, and no injuries were found.

All three suspects, who range in age from 15 to 17 years old, are charged with child endangerment.
