MILLBROOK, AL (WSFA) -

A new Waffle House location will soon be coming to Millbrook, according to the city's Facebook page.

After years of legal waffling, the breakfast-themed restaurant will be breaking ground in the Grandview Pines shopping center by the end of the year, bringing 24/7 dining and over 20 jobs to the Millbrook area.

“I just really appreciate everything the city has done to work with us on this,” said Waffle House spokesman Randy Fick to the Millbrook City Council.

Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley thanked Waffle House for working with the city to place the new location.

“I believe it shows how much they want to be here, and we welcome them,” Kelley said. “This is fantastic news for our city, not just because of more choices in dining, but also for sales tax revenue.”

The new 1,744 square foot location will occupy a portion of the current parking lot in front of Marvin’s Hardware.
