My Take - Huntsville Ranks in the Top 10

WAFF Editorial: Huntsville city ranking

Huntsville is in Top 10 US cities to live. Great news for those of us that call Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley home!

Huntsville ranks in the top 10 of the 2018 Best Places to Live in the US according to the U.S. News & World Report's survey. Affordability, the availability of jobs and quality of life are all things people consider when deciding where to move. Huntsville is in 7th place in the rankings of the country's 125 largest metropolitan areas.U.S. News described Huntsville as one of the biggest surprises on the list. Huntsville has the second-largest research park in the country in Cummings Research Park. Research Park houses several major employers, all of which offer jobs in the fast growing science, technology, engineering and math fields. The U.S. Army also employs a number of residents at Redstone Arsenal, where NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center is located. Huntsville also boasts the highest value score out of all the places on the list.

Only two other Alabama cities made the list: Birmingham at No. 95 and Mobile at No. 122. We should be proud to call Huntsville and the Tennessee Valley home!
