HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Authorities have determined a hazardous material scare at a Huntsville Walgreens was not dangerous.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office responded on the Walgreens on Jeff Road around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after employees found a "suspicious package."
The package was later determined to be newspaper.
One of the employees reportedly picked up the package when they were not expecting one. The employee thought they heard metal rattling inside. The package had a FedEx stamp on it.
The Huntsville bomb squad and hazardous material team also responded to the scene.
