Crime Stoppers: Suspect steals identity to go shopping

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville police are looking for an identity thief.

The crime happened on June 1 in the 2000 block of Covemont Drive. According to the victim, while doing a quick statement check with his bank he noticed charges that he knew he had not made. He immediately called his bank and was told that his credit card had already been used in this area as well as at the Decatur area Walmart.

Police said someone had apparently stolen his identity.

Video was found of the offender leaving the Decatur Walmart after using a card created using his information. The victim still has possession of his credit cards.
