Town Madison is bringing a lot more than baseball to the Rocket City.

Louis Breland’s 560 acre development will include more than 1,000,000 square feet of restaurant, retail space, and office space, a 272-unit luxury apartment complex, a Home2 Suites by Hilton, over 200 houses, and the monumental Margaritaville Resort.

Breland’s spokesman, Joey Ceci shared the buzz-worthy details with WAFF 48 News this week.

The baseball stadium has seating for 5,500 people and holds 7,000. The stadium will be home to much more than the new minor league team, the City owned facility also intends to open their doors up to schools and other local groups.

“Today’s stadiums are about more than baseball. This facility will be open to the public and host events from Rotary lunches, booster club dinners and high school football.  This will be a facility the entire community can use,” said Ceci.

Surrounding the stadium will be a slew of  retailers and restaurants. That number is expected to grow after the opening. While no stores have been confirmed, Ceci said many are new names that are not already available in our area.

If you choose to live at Town Madison, Breland Properties is building a variety of options. There will be a 272-unit luxury apartment complex featuring 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. The apartment will be outfitted with all the amenities you would expect: a full-service gym, pool, pet park, gathering area and more. Units will range in price anywhere from $995/month to $1,550/month.

But if you aren’t interested in renting, Breland Properties is building over 200 homes at the development ranging in size.

“We will have a mixture of housing opportunities from town homes to large family homes. Price will range anywhere from $250,000 to $600,000,” said Ceci.

Perhaps as exciting as baseball’s return to the Tennessee Valley, is the arrival of Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. The highly-anticipated resort will feature three restaurants and a bar.

This first phase of Town Madison is expected to be completed in the spring of 2020.
