Man accused of killing three women extradited back to Madison County

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The man accused of killing three women in Huntsville last month was brought back to the Madison County on Sunday morning.

According to jail records, Rodney Shawn Geddes was taken to the Madison County Jail on Sunday. 

On, June 20. authorities released the names of all three people murdered at a home on Knollbrook Drive.

Huntsville police and the Madison County Coroner's Office have identified them as 42-year-old Iris Koress Bynum, her daughter, 17-year-old Heaven Hines, and Heaven's friend, 16-year-old Xzariah Rice.

All three were found dead on June 19. They were found by a concerned relative who went by the house then called police after seeing the bodies.

Huntsville police say that they are in the process of securing capital murder warrants for Rodney Shawn Geddes, 43, in relation to these homicides. After an initial investigation, police found that Geddes had been living at the home and had a relationship with Bynum, but they had recently separated.

Geddes was taken into custody in Franklin County, Tennessee after walking in the area of Interstate 24 around 9 p.m. on June 19. He was being held at the Franklin County jail on unrelated drug charges. He has since been booked into the Madison County Jail.

Geddes is facing capital murder charges.
