Our trend of hot, humid and active afternoons on radar continues into our Wednesday...
After several hours of warming earlier today, scattered shower and storms are starting to build across the area.
Although not everyone has seen rain today, it does look like both coverage and intensity of any rain gains some momentum within the next few hours; that means many of you could be dodging heavy rain, gusty winds and lots of lightning between now and your drive home this evening. It's pretty standard to see this kind of hit or miss storm activity during the peak heating of the day, especially early in the Summer season.
For those who don't see any wet weather, you remain seasonably hot and very much muggy - upper 80s and even low 90s are easy to find in places that haven't seen any rain today.
Whether you like this set up or not, it's sticking around! Our overall weather pattern won't change much over the next few days, so expect highs on either side of 90° with more random, pop-up showers to tracking (especially during the afternoon and early evening).
By the end of the workweek, we do trend a bit hotter with highs more consistently in the 90s low. Coverage of rain will become a bit more isolated, but that doesn't mean our whole area is guaranteed to be dry.
