Morgan Co. man facing burglary and resisting arrest charges

MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Police say a Morgan County man is facing burglary, possession and resisting arrest charges after an incident on Monday morning around 4 o'clock.

Morgan County Central Dispatch received a call from a citizen advising that someone was unlawfully inside their vehicle.

During the phone conversation, the suspect, Christopher Michael Walker gained entry into the storage building attached to the caller's residence.

Upon their arrival, officers attempted to make contact with Walker in the carport of the caller's residence. Walker ended up fleeing on foot.

After Walker was caught he began resisting and kicking the officers.

Investigators discovered during the night that other citizens had their vehicles unlawfully entered into as well.

Walker was charged with burglary, four counts of unlawful breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, resisting arrest, physical harassment, and possession of an open container.

Walker was booked into the Morgan County Jail in lieu of a $15,900 bond.
