HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - RCP Companies and Yedla Management Company announce another first-to-market hotel brand for Huntsville.
Marriott's Aloft Hotel, with over 140 hotels across 20 countries, will join a growing list of world-class brands at MidCity Huntsville; a $500 million experiential, midtown district at the intersection of two of North Alabama's primary commercial corridors – University Drive and Research Park Boulevard.
Aloft Hotels caters to today's modern traveler who craves jet-setting style and a vibrant social scene at an affordable price. Urban-inspired design, accessible technology and innovative programing centering on music and F&B make the Aloft a perfect fit for MidCity's cultural ecosystem. Clean, contemporary architecture houses open spaces that are alive with activity. The Re:mix lounge and pool table set the stage for innovative programming and events. Loft-like guestrooms, a vibrant social scene anchored by the WXYZ® bar, Re:fuel café and industrial design elements set the Aloft apart. Each new hotel is customized to the location and city. The results are the delivery of a special hotel experience that resonates with the local market and embodies a unique personality within the brand.
"The hotel is functional yet architecturally unique which fits well with our commitment to create great experiences in every aspect of MidCity," explains Max Grelier, co-founder, RCP Companies. "The Aloft brand also complements our music and culture initiatives and provides a social gathering place for events and happenings at MidCity. RCP is proud of its continued relationship with the Yedla team and expects that this hotel is the first of many compelling hospitality brands that will soon call MidCity home", states Grelier.
"Yedla Management Company is delighted to have been appointed as Manager of the Aloft Hotel at MidCity Huntsville. This management opportunity allows us to expand our local presence and continue to be part of the revitalization and growth of Huntsville" states Srinath Yedla, CEO of Yedla Management Company. Located at the epicenter of MidCity in an area known as The Pointe, the 130-room, six-story Aloft Hotel will anchor the south-end of MidCity Drive and will feature iconic architecture as the tallest building along the main street. Design of the hotel will begin this summer and the construction start is slated for late 2018 with an opening date scheduled for late 2019.
