LAWRENCE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - Search teams gathered Sunday for a massive search in hopes of finding clues and answers in the case of a missing Lawrence County man.
The search was conducted for Steven Patrick White, 47, of Town Creek, who went missing in October 2017.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Gene Mitchell, White was last seen at his home in Town Creek. Mitchell says that according to an eyewitness account, he left walking around 4:00 p.m. on October 27 and hasn't been seen or heard from since.
Investigators assisted by the Lawrence County Rescue Squad, along with two teams of search and rescue dogs from the North Alabama Search Dog Association, Southeastern Search Dog Association, as well as many volunteers searched the area where White was last seen.
Mitchell also says that White's family wanted to thank everyone who assisted with the search, as well as property owners and those who donated.
Anyone with information on White's whereabouts is asked to contact the Lawrence Co. Sheriff's Office at 256-974-9291.
A reward of $2000 is also offered for information leading to White's whereabouts.
