HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The Singing River Bar and Grill in Sheffield will be getting a return visit from the Kitchen Cops soon.
They earned a 77 after inspectors found unlabeled spray bottles, sinks in the ladies room with no hot water or soap, problems with hoses and foods that weren't properly chilled.
In Lauderdale County, mostly good grades for everyone. The low performer this week was Chili's on Cox Creek Parkway. They got an 84.
The Kitchen Cops wrote them up for not sanitizing their dishwasher and having some produce a little too warm in the fridge. Two of our top performers this week are in Tuscumbia.
Good work by the crews at Aunt Bea's and Jody's. They both pulled in a 96 score. And Pizza Chef on Florence Boulevard earned a 97
The Kitchen Cops were busy this week in Limestone County. El Pollo Maniaco on Highway 31 in Tanner has a lot of work to do. They earned a 68 because the food was missing expiration dates, eggs were way too warm, and chicken and steak temperatures were too low.
The Pigskin All Sports BarBQ in Hartselle earned a respectable 88. But, inspectors say some side items like lettuce and potato salad were just a little warmer than they should've been.
The Waffle House on Highway 72 in Athens also pulled in an 88. They too had some issues keeping side items like eggs, ham, and cheese at the right temperature. Let's take a look at this week's top performers.
Smokey C's BBQ and Wings on Highway 20 in Decatur earned a 97. If you're going to point mallard park this summer, rest easy. Their food service team earned a 97. And those pop-up Kona Ice stands that are in Decatur and Athens this summer got scores of 97 to 99 on their pre-season inspections.
