(WAFF) - The Shoals area Kitchen Cops report is in for this week and our best bets are all within a couple of blocks of each other in Russellville. Before we get to the good, let's clear up the problems.

Ichiban on Jackson Highway in Sheffield got dinged for putting dirty knives back on the rack. They earned an 86.

Some serious issues found at the Odette bistro on Court Street in Florence. Inspectors found expired food still in rotation, and some other items missing their expiration dates entirely. There were also toxic items stored in the wrong place.

Odette's latest score is an 84. Staying in Florence, Sam's sports grill on Seville Street was written up for having dirty utensils and a slightly warm freezer. Both of those were fixed when inspectors came back 3 days later, earning Sam's an 87.

They're doing something right on Highway 43 in Russellville. That's where all 3 of this week's best bets can be found. Mama Cortez's should be proud of its' score of 99. A few blocks away, El Patron earned a 96. and Wayne's Catfish Haven got a 95.
