Road work in east Huntsville could cause lane closures, shifts

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Road improvements being done in Huntsville could cause some road congestion.

The city reported that contractors will begin making improvements to the culvert on Little Cove Road between McMullen Lane and Old Cove Place beginning on May 25. Workers will be onsite daily through October 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. while this work is being done.

Drivers should expect temporary lane closures and lane shifts throughout this process. Measures will also be in place to warn drivers of changes to traffic patterns.

Travelers are also encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
