Parker Moore wins AL special election

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The results are in and the citizens of House District 4 have a new representative.

Republican Parker Moore has won the seat vacated by former Representative Mickey Hammon.

Moore got 69 votes followed by Democrat Juanita Healy with 18 and Independent Polan Willis Junior 13 votes.

Moore replaces Hammon who was convicted of using campaign money for personal use.

Moore faces GOP rival Tom Fredricks on June 5.

Healy and Willis plan to be on the November ballot.

Don't forget, you only have a week left to register to vote in the June 5th primary.

The deadline is May 21st.
