LIMESTONE COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A Madison woman was arrested Thursday and is charged with taking a large amount of money from the South Limestone Volunteer Fire Department.
Angela Robinson Sides, 43, faces a charge of first-degree theft. She was released from the Limestone County Jail on $5,000 bond.
On May 1, investigators with the Limestone County Sheriff's Office were notified of a possible theft of money from the South Limestone Volunteer Fire Department. The investigation determined that Sides, who was serving as the department's treasurer, had taken money over a period of time to pay personal bills that she had accrued.
Deputies say the investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
