Suspect in Tuscumbia teen's murder found guilty

One of the suspects in the 2016 murder of 19-year-old Ki-Jana Freeman has been found guilty.

The Times Daily reports that it took jurors less than an hour to find Peter Gerold Capote guilty of capital murder on Tuesday.

Freeman was shot multiple times in his car at Spring Creek Apartments in Tuscumbia on March 1, 2016. Investigators believe he was lured to the apartment complex for an Xbox.

When he arrived, a white Dodge truck pulled up behind him where two men started firing shots.

Capote, 22, is one of five suspects charged in the shooting.
