ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) - Drug agents nabbed an Albertville man and bag a half-pound of meth.

27-year-old Benjamin Tyler Gary of Albertville is now in the Marshall County Jail facing drug trafficking charges.

Some residents along Lilly Avenue say their neighborhood is usually quiet. That is until things changed on Tuesday.

Officials with the Marshall County Drug Task Force say they paid a visit to a home on Lilly Avenue in Albertville on Tuesday. What they say they found was a half-pound of methamphetamine, more than $3,300 in cash, and a 45-caliber pistol.

They made the bust after obtaining a search warrant for the residence.

Some neighbors say the people that live in the home do not socialize with other neighbors.

"They never bothered us so you kind of mind your own business, but when it comes down to that you definitely don't want that near your home at all or your children, especially when they're going to be playing outside or anything like that so it is a scary situation something like that," said a neighbor who wished not to be identified.

Gary is jailed on $500,000 bond.
