Sizable rainfall reported across the TN Valley after weekend storms

(WAFF) - This weekend was a wet one across the Tennessee Valley as steady, heavy showers and storms rolled through the area Saturday and Sunday.

This weekend was a wet one across the Tennessee Valley as steady, heavy showers and storms rolled through the area Saturday and Sunday. Some sizable rainfall was reported across the Valley with some spots picking up nearly a half foot of moisture. Huntsville picked up 3.77" of rain on Saturday which broke the previous record of 2.05" set back in 1991.

This weekend's rainfall also put some spots over their month normal for rainfall and it is just 15 days through the month. This April already ranks as the 31st rainiest April on record in Huntsville.
