One dead after overnight house fire in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities in Huntsville were called to the scene of a house fire around 1 a.m. Saturday. 

It took firefighters approximately 20 minutes to put out the blaze at 1826 Rideout Dr. 

The victim has been identified as 76-year-old William Arthur Lamb. Foul play is not suspected, though an autopsy is pending. 

The home is a total loss. 

Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
