NEW ORLEANS (AP) - James Harden had 32 points and 11 rebounds, and the Houston Rockets won for the 21st time in 22 games, beating the New Orleans Pelicans 107-101. Harden's highlights included his usual array of explosive drives and pull-up jumpers, including a 27-foot, straight-on 3 that put the Rockets up by nine with 1:31 left. Chris Paul added 21 points and Clint Capela had 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Rockets, winners of four straight since their 17-game winning streak ended against Toronto.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Victoria Vivians scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead top-seeded Mississippi State past No. 16 Nicholls 95-50 in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday. Mississippi State (33-1) started the game slowly, but scored 33 points in the second quarter to take a 54-24 lead into halftime and eventually cruise to the win.

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Tinara Moore scored 25 points to help 11th-seed Central Michigan get its first women's NCAA Tournament win with a 78-69 victory over No. 6 LSU in the opening round. The Chippewas, who had lost in their first three trips to the NCAAs, got in the tournament for the first time in five years by upsetting Buffalo in the Mid-American Conference Tournament.

SAN DIEGO (AP) - Football schools Auburn, Clemson meet in the NCAA Tournament. Both teams feature guard-oriented offenses.
