GURLEY, AL (WAFF) - Gurley police have released the names of a grandmother and grandchild killed in a crash on Highway 72 East near Old Gurley Pike.
The crash happened around 8 p.m. Jan. 1.

According to police, Robin Kennedy Clayton, 53, and Rene Alexis Allen, 11, died in the crash. Clayton, of Grant, was Allen's grandmother.
Dylan Guy Davis, 20, of Huntsville was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not hurt.
Police say it does not appear Clayton or her granddaughter were wearing seat belts.
