Woman accused of faking DHR credentials pleads guilty

COLBERT COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

After a three year investigation, a guilty verdict has been handed down to Angel Gieske.

We first told you about Angel Gieske back in 2014 when we uncovered she was posing as a licensed therapist, working for DHR and fraudulently collecting thousands in Medicaid funds.

DHR admitted no one double checked her credentials before approving her to intervene in cases that involved terminating parental rights.

She worked in six counties throughout Alabama and just pled guilty to use of a forged instrument in Lauderdale County.

Her sentencing is set for March 7.
