(RNN) - Telltale Games' Batman: The Enemy Within features an image of Russian diplomat Andrei Karlov lying dead on the floor after being assassinated last year in Ankara, Turkey.

It appears the picture was taken from its normal background and put into the video game, where it is shown after about 20 minutes in the series' second episode.

The image's inclusion in the game sparked an uproar in Twitter's gaming community, who ask how this could have possibly made it into the final production.

Karlov was killed by a Turkish police officer while giving remarks to the media on Dec. 19, 2016.

The gunman yelled "Do not forget Aleppo!"

Telltale Games produces content based on some of the biggest franchises, including: Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy.
