The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the Cullman County Sheriff's Office are collectively offering $5,000 for information that leads to arrests in a theft at a Cullman gun store.

Seven firearms were reported stolen from the Pawn Your Bond location in the 1500 block of County Road 437 on Aug. 6., according to a press release from the ATF.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry said he believes this group has been busy. "There have been multiple locations around 65 and or I-20/59 that are close to the interstate that have bene targeted where firearms are stolen."

Gentry says they believe this group has hit between four to ten gun stores around Alabama. "I believe these guys are a part of the same group. A group of individuals that are traveling the interstate from various areas looking to try to break into stores."

Meanwhile, Gentry urges guns stores to take precautions. "We tell all of our business owners to have very good cameras. Have good resources like that,” Gentry said.

The sheriff also suggests place bars on your window and an alarm system that make noise.
