MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Authorities say a man was killed when his truck went into a ravine in Marshall County Wednesday afternoon.

Alabama State Troopers say a 1977 GMC truck left the roadway and went into a ravine off Fairview Road about six miles west of Douglas. It happened just before 4 p.m.

The driver was ejected in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers identified him as 34-year-old Daniel George Antoine of Albertville.

Troopers said he was not using a seat belt.

Troopers said that although the circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation, preliminary information indicates speed was a factor.
