Huntsville's largest crawfish boil is this weekend.
Crews at the Von Braun Center are setting up the stage and tables for the Heads-N-Tails Crawfish Boil this this weekend.
"It's family friendly, it's free to attend. The only thing you're going to be paying for is the food you eat," said Booke Izzo, Public Relations Manager at the Von Braun Center.
About 9,000 people showed up last year and organizers are anticipating a larger crowd this year.
Thousands of pounds of live crawfish from Louisiana are headed to the Rocket City.
"We get it fresh," said Izzo. "It'll come in Friday, and then, Saturday morning, we'll start cooking it."
This family friendly event will include live Zydeco music, inflatables and other activities for the kids.
The event is free but crawfish and other New Orleans seafood food items will be available for varies prices.
"The event itself is 3 to 9 pm, but since the Paddle the Canal is going to be happening right outside the South Hall, we decided to pull the beer garden outside and have live music and a limited venue starting at 10am."
The 7th Annual Heads-N-Tails Crawfish Boil is in the South Hall of VBC, Saturday, April 22nd from 3 until 9pm.
