FLORENCE, AL (WAFF) -

A Florence man is accused of posing as a woman online and getting young boys to send him nude pictures.

20-year-old Marty Holt is charged with possession of obscene material of someone younger than 17, sexual misconduct, extortion and two counts of distributing pornography to minors.

Police also say Holt threatened to post nude pictures of the victims online to try and force them to do sex acts with him.

Investigators say Holt used a picture of a real person from the Shoals as a picture for his fake profile. He then allegedly found online images of other naked women, cropped out their faces, and used them to barter for nude pictures with the victims.

Investigators say there are two victims. Both knew Holt, and both are under 16.

A victim reported Holt to authorities and a search warrant allowed police to check out his Facebook accounts, computer and phone.

Holt was booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $39,000 bond.

A neighbor said the crime is inconceivable.

"I think it is reprehensible in the worst possible way because, like, young boys have the rest of the life to deal with this. It makes you realize that you don't know what’s going on in the very next apartment, and it seems very peaceful here and I would have never suspected that type of activity was going on,” said Jay Eastland.
