One little girl conquered her fear and made a new friend during a traffic stop in Alabama, and it’s getting a lot of attention.

Alabama State Trooper Brock Gwaltney pulled over a woman when he noticed the woman’s granddaughter in the backseat crying, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Facebook page.

When he asked what was wrong, the grandmother replied that the little girl was scared of going to jail. Gwaltney reassured the girl that she wasn’t going to jail. He then told her that the one thing that would make him feel better was a hug.

He took her out of the car for the hug, showed her the lights on his trooper vehicle and had a chat with her, according to authorities. The little girl gave him a cheek as he was putting her back in the car.

The sweet moment has been shared on Facebook nearly 5,000 times since being posted Friday night.
