Man arrested following shooting into ex-girlfriend’s house in Decatur

DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

A man wanted in connection to shooting into a Decatur house has turned himself in.

Kendrick Montez Loyd is charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, a Class B felony.

It started when Decatur police responded to a shooting call in the 2000 block of Harrison Street at about 4:30 p.m.Thursday. Officers determined no one had been injured, but the house had been shot.

Investigators determined that Loyd, the ex-boyfriend of the victim, pulled up in front of the house and opened fire. The house was struck, and one of the rounds went through multiple rooms.
