Morning Headlines: Lightning causes small fire at home on Crestfield Drive

Lightning causes small fire at home on Crestfield Drive

Lightning struck a house on Crestfield Drive causing a small fire early Friday morning. Investigator tells us lightning hit the house sometime around 1:30 a.m. triggering a very small fire on the exterior of the house.

Tree falls onto apartment building in southwest Huntsville

A tree fell on an apartment building at Treehaven Glenn Apartments on Talwell Drive just before 1 a.m.

Rain, and a few snowflakes, this weekend

Storms have ended across the Valley with just some lingering light rain and drizzle for your morning commute. Despite clearing skies, temperatures won’t move a lot today, hovering around 60° this afternoon.
