(WAFF) - Over the strong objections of key conservatives and Democrats, House Republican leaders are forging ahead with a health care plan that scraps major parts of the Obama-era overhaul. The House Ways and Means Committee and the Energy and Commerce Committee will convene what are expected to be marathon sessions on Wednesday to start voting on the legislation.
Tuesday's horrific bus/train crash in Biloxi has now claimed four lives. The latest victim was a woman who died around 6:30 pm at Merit Health in Biloxi. That brings the death toll to two men and two women. Dozens of other senior citizens from Texas were injured when the charter bus they were riding on got stuck on the tracks at Main Street in Biloxi.
Patchy fog may slow your morning drive. Visibility could briefly drop to less than one mile. I expect this to quickly burn off this morning with ample sunshine today. Highs will climb to around 70°. We'll quiet and cold tonight, with lows in the upper 30s. Mid 70s return on Thursday with increasing cloud cover ahead of our next weather maker.
