(WAFF) - Muscle Shoals is known for its music scene, and that reputation continues with new music from a North Alabama progressive rock band.
We sat down with An Abstract Theory at Portside Sound in Sheffield to talk about their upcoming fourth studio album.
The band was formed in 2007, and after over 300 shows including SXSW, the group is celebrating 10 years together.
Kirk Russell, Scot McKinney and Kevin Reed make up the core of the band, with Danley Murner, the group's sound engineer, right by their side.
The band is undecided at this time on a title for their new record, but says the new album will be different from the rest.
Reed said, "I think this [album] is the best one we've done. We've had more opportunities on this one to do the things we want to do."
An Abstract Theory plans to drop their new record just in time for summer.
