HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Utilities’ Electric Crews continue to restore service to customers following the severe weather that passed through the area on Tuesday evening and overnight.

Recovery efforts have been slower than normal due to the bad weather and impassable roads from fallen trees.

However, crews will work to restore service to all affected as quickly as safely possible. While service has been restored to a large portion of previously affected customers, approximately 1,500 customers remain without power scattered across Madison County.
