Former Madison County deputy to be sentenced

A former Madison County deputy will go before a federal judge on Thursday for sentencing almost year after he pled guilty to obstruction of justice. Justin Watson and his lawyers are now making last-minute ditch appeal for a lesser sentence. They want the judge to sentence him to three years supervised release or home detention.

City manager: Talladega police officer fired for sharing racist posts on Facebook

Talladega City Manager Patrick Bryant says Talladega Police Officer Joel Husk was fired Wednesday after sharing racist posts on his Facebook page. Bryant says the posts violated the city's code of conduct and social media policy.

Record highs expected today and tomorrow

Record highs are in jeopardy today and tomorrow followed by much colder air and windy conditions to kick off the weekend. Some patchy valley fog is possible this morning, but nothing like what we saw yesterday. Plenty of sunshine will make for a quick warm up and we’ll top out around 80°.
